10 DOL Adjustments for 2018
The Department of Labor (DOL) recently published their annual adjustments for 2018. These adjustments increase certain penalties applicable to employee benefit plans. Highlights of the changes include:
- A penalty of up to $114 per day per employee for failure to provide CHIP Notice
- A penalty of $114 per day for genetic information failures
- A penalty of up to $2,140 per day for failure to file Form 5500
- A penalty of up to $152 per day and $1,527 cap per request for failure to furnish plan documents (including SPDs/SMMs)
