Paid Family and Medical Leave Law Passes in Connecticut

On June 21, 2019 Connecticut’s House of Representatives passed a new paid family and medical leave law (PFML). Beginning January 1, 2022 eligible employees can start to apply for a paid leave of absence to take care of a newborn, care for a personal or family member’s serious health condition, deal with any complications following military deployment, or to donate an organ.
