IRS Ruling on Genetic Testing Services as Medical Care
On August 16th, 2019 the IRS ruled that taxpayers can now allocate the price of a DNA collection kit and related health services between non-medical ancestry services and health services in a private letter ruling. This will allow the cost of such services to be reimbursed by a health flexible spending account (FSA) or other account-based health plan. View the article for more details.
