The Challenge:

An HR administrator at a mid-size firm struggled to track the numerous benefit forms its employees were required to complete. The burden of using separate systems for payroll, medical, dental, disability, and 401(k) was a huge drain of resources. Billing reconciliation with each carrier was also less than ideal. This client needed a way to streamline the enrollment process, simplify the process of updating employee data and reduce calls from employees to HR.


The Solution

Cambridge implemented a solution to combine Payroll, Benefits and HR into one single sign-on platform. Employee self-service was added for additional flexibility to meet the needs of a diverse workforce along with one customized enrollment/change form for those that still prefer paper. A Health Advocate service was offered to employees and their dependents which reduced calls to HR.


The Results

Over 90% savings in the time spent on administration with fewer errors as manual processes were made automated. New hires and changes are entered once and sent to payroll and each employee benefit vendor with the push of a button.
